I’ve partnered with JOHNSON’S® on this post. All opinions are my own.
For the past week or so it’s been pretty chilly down here in Florida. I’ve been enjoying the fact that I can layer up and wear my boots, scarves, and fuzzy slippers! What I haven’t been enjoying as much is the way my skin reacts to the slightest dip in the temperature. Winter in Florida is very mild in comparison to up north, but any temps under 50 wreak havoc on my skin. Caring for my skin and making sure it’s moisturized at all times is key to make sure my skin is in check. Believe it or not, my go-to products during the winter are JOHNSON’S® head-to-toe baby lotion, JOHNSON’S® baby oil, and JOHNSON’S® bedtime baby bath, the same ones I use on my kids! I grew up in a household where JOHNSON’S® products were essential, even my mom used it on my brother and I. Now, as a mom, I use all of the same beloved baby products. Not just for my kids but for me as well! When you have a large family with kids that are close in age, using their products becomes a part of your daily routine. When I had Evan and William, I remember being so busy in the mornings that I would just grab JOHNSON’S® baby lotion and lather it on all three of us before leaving to save time. I quickly realized that it was just as good, if not better, than the overly priced ones I’ve bought myself. From that point on I started incorporating different JOHNSON’S® products that I used with my kids, like the amazing smelling Bedtime Baby Bath that I used to create this DIY lavender sugar scrub back in the day. It’s the perfect way to exfoliate my skin and prep it for the lotion when I get out of the shower and it’s gentle enough to use daily to keep skin baby soft!. See the quick tutorial below.
DIY Lavender Sugar Scrub
Till this day, I still use all the same products on my three little ones, and I’m still making this simple yet effective DIY lavender sugar scrub but that’s not all though; I also use the JOHNSON’S® Baby Oil as a highlighter on my cheeks (just dab a few dots after you’ve applied blush and blend). It’s versatile enough that I use on my cuticles, and I can even use it to tame my frizzy hair or dead ends when I’m in between a haircut AND the JOHNSON’S® Head-to-Toe baby wash cleans makeup brushes beautifully! As a busy mom, I live for hacks like these to not only save money but also time for me to squeeze in some much needed self-care time with products I already use and love for my own kids.

This DIY lavender sugar scrub even makes for a wonderful homemade gift (my favorite kind of gifts to give). If you plan on gifting this DIY Lavender sugar scrub, you can add some purple food coloring for a pretty lavender tint and add a pretty ribbon or ornament to the jar or make a gift basket that includes the scrub along with all the JOHNSON’S® products!
