Easter has always been a favorite holiday of mine. Now that Olivia is here, it’s even more special to me because I get to shop for adorable girly Easter outfits. I actually didn’t think I’d be up for it this year because of all of the complications I had with her delivery but with a little help from my mom and dad, I managed to make it out to Kohl’s (click here to see my in store shopping pics). It’s our favorite place to shop for special occasions like Pascuas (Easter) for our entire family and now it’s also the place to shop for Olivia’s very first Easter. It was a very special day for me. I was shopping for Olivia’s first Easter outfit and Kohl’s had just about everything I needed for me, Olivia, and all of her brothers. They had everything from Easter toys, baskets, Reese’s, Peeps, toys, shoes, and an amazing selection of outfits and even Easter decor.
Kohl’s Easter selection of Easter clothing for kids was gorgeous and I had a hard time picking just one outfit for Olivia but I finally picked a colorful Spring set by Carter’s and a handsome outfit for Joseph by Osh Kosh that I know he’ll get to wear a lot more than once.
For Olivia’s basket I decided to give it a personal touch and I made her basket a tutu (see full tutorial below), then filled it with Easter toys, most of which are up to 60% off right from Kohl’s. For Joseph, we got him the stuffed dinosaur and frog with the adorable matching book It’s All Mine and for Olivia The Quiet Bunny for only $5 each for their baskets.
Olivia’s First Easter Outfit from Kohls + DIY Tutu Basket
What You’ll Need For Basket:
Basket **I bought a plastic one because its easier to poke the tulle through but any basket will work
Tulle
Scissors
Fabric Flower
Paper grass *Mine is from Kohl’s they have some some really pretty colors at 60% off!
How To Tutu Basket:
Measure tulle against the side of your basket.
Leave a little extra on the ends and cut.
Tie along the entire basket.
Poke flower into basket and fill with paper grass.
