Water Park Fun

Summer is officially in full swing! After a hectic move we finally found some time on Father’s Day to head out to a brand new playground a few minutes from our new place for some water park fun. Between the move and juggling deadlines, we rarely have time to check out any of the activities that go on downtown but I’m determined to make it a priority this summer. This playground will definitely be our new spot. While Joseph runs in and out of the sprinklers, I can take Olivia in her stroller while she watches and giggles at Joseph’s every little move.

It’s so amazing to watch those two together, Joseph was literally trying to drag her into the sprinklers and she was cracking up! On our outings, the CYBEX Balios M stroller has been making our trips not only stylish but also a lot more convenient. It’s versatility and large rubber wheels are perfect to push through the playground or walks along the bumpy boardwalk. The built-in suspension ensures that Olivia will always be comfy!

I can’t tell you how many compliments I get whenever we head out with the Balios M stroller but the one sleek detail that I love and depend on the most is the canopy! The sun down here in Florida can be brutal, and I’m pretty diligent about keeping my babies skin protected and I just love the way the canopy completely covers Olivia’s little face. It also has an open back feature that makes sure she’ll get a litte more air circulation and trust me, that helps out a lot during the summer!

I’ve owned lots of strollers and car seats in the past, but the CYBEX Balios M stroller and the Aton Q car seat is hands down my favorite. It has just about every little detail I wanted in a stroller built into one; It’s stylish, roomy, it folds down with one hand, it’s lightweight, and has an easy-to-use swivel lock for the front wheels, making it perfect to take on long walks and probably even a jog, although I haven’t tried that out just yet.

When I found out I was pregnant and having a girl, I already knew what type of car seat and stroller I wanted. I also knew that I wouldn’t want to do the double stroller thing. I’ve been there and done that, I never really found one that fit all my needs. If I’m ever out alone with the kids, my plan is to put Joseph in a stroller and babywear Olivia. I knew exactly what kind of stroller I wanted but because I had an almost brand new car seat and stroller set sitting in my garage, I decided to hand Joseph’s stroller to Olivia for the time being. Fast forward to three months later and I finally got the exact stroller and car seat I’ve always wanted: the CYBEX Aton Q Car Seat and the CYBEX Balios Stroller from the stylish CYBEX Gold Line. CYBEX is known for their focus on safety but when you see the design of the Aton Q and the Balios you immediately notice the stylish AND functional details.

The CYBEX Balos stroller is amazing in every way a stroller should be. The versatility it offers is unlike any other stroller I’ve used, and that’s been quite a few! It converts from laying flat to upright or even facing the rear (which I love because Olivia immediately stops crying when she looks at me and she starts to coo) and if you buy the attachment (click here to see) you can even just pop the car seat onto the body of the stroller and go!

Oh, and the fact that the stylish CYBEX Balios Stroller & Anton Q Car Seat holds up to 55lbs makes it even sweeter, because it can even hold Joseph when it’s just the babies and I. Since this is my first girl I plan her outfits and accessories, and now I have the stroller of my dreams to compliment our style.

I’ve had my moments pre and post pregnancy where I’ve felt my style and personality were a little lost because my focus was all on the baby, but the CYBEX Gold Line allows a mommy like me to enjoy the best of both worlds. That to me is exactly what this fashion lovin’ mama needed. The Stylish CYBEX Balios Stroller & Anton Q Car Seat are now both available at Buy Buy Baby.

Summer Fun With SwimWays

Did you know that National Learn To Swim Day is May 21st? I didn’t! You’d think that with 6 kids I’d know that there’s a day dedicated to learning how to swim, especially since I live in Florida, where it is so important to know how. All of my boys are decent swimmers and now we’re working on Joseph. He has yet to make the transition. If we hold him, he’s fearless and tries to jump out of our arms, but once you try and teach him, he hesitates. It’s products like those from SwimWays and the SwimWays Baby Spring Float that make summer fun with SwimWays and make the transition easier and safer. It is, after all, a life saving lesson that is extra important when you live in Florida, since it’s almost always pool or beach weather. It’s an essential skill that allows kids to have fun while staying safe.

SwimWays actually started the National Learn to Swim Day in 2012. They’re a company that is dedicated to educating parents and children about water safety and the importance and benefits of learning to swim. The SwimWays Baby Spring Float is the single best float on the market today and for good reasons; It’s fun and easy to use and the SPF 50+ canopy feature is genius. It helps keep kids safe from the strong Florida sun rays, something that is exactly what Joseph needs because he has extremely sensitive skin.

SwimWays Swim Steps 3 level Program :

1. Introduction to water is all about keeping your baby safe, comfortable and balanced in SwimWays baby floats, just like the one Joseph is using above.

2. Toddlers love to be independent and Swim Step 2 is designed to work with kids who desire to explore with the perfect swimming aids like Swim vest, Swim Sweater and Swim Shorties.

3. Swim Step 3 products are like training wheels for the water. They make the final step in learning how to swim even more fun with their Power Swimmer Swim Trainers and the Sea Squirts Swim Assist Vests.

SwimWays has been teaching kids how to swim for over 40 years and I wish I had known about all these products sooner. This weekend we made our first step in transtioning Joseph into the pool with confidence and the SwimWays baby spring float made the process fun and easier for me to help Joseph yet still be able to balance baby Olivia (who’s next in line in a few short months) on my hip.
