Scallops, Spinach & Strawberries With Balsamic Syrup

During the summer we always try to incorporate more veggies and fruit into each meal. It keeps meals healthy and they’re quicker to make. This week we decided to make scallops, spinach and strawberries with balsamic syrup. It’s the perfect summer appetizer for guest or even as a light dinner if you add a side salad. If you’re looking for a quick appetizers for guest, this is it!

DIY Pineapple Vase
When I was growing up, mi families summer house parties were the best! Merengue y salas on full blast, a delicious lechon or jamon smothered with pineapples in the oven, and there was always some type of tropical drink or dessert to end the night with. It was the best! While I can’t have throw parties on a regular basis (although I wish I could), I can bring that same freshness of the tropics to my home at any time of the year whenever I do laundry with the trusted cleaning power of all® Fresh Tropical Mist™  (that I buy at Dollar General ) their new fresh tropical scent. Now my drawers can be filled with fresh tropical scented clothes as  a wonderful reminder of those fun tropical parties in Brooklyn and it actually inspired the DIY pineapple vase below.

Now as an adult, I add a touch of the tropics to my backyard with this pretty DIY pineapple vase to our outdoor tables (easy DIY instructions are below). Pineapples are the perfect symbol of summer and the tropics, as they symbolize warmth and hospitality and that is exactly what I want everyone to feel when they enter my home.

If you really think about it, all® Fresh Tropical Mist™ trusted stain fighting power is to fight the toughest kid stains like grass, mud, and grape juice and that goes hand in hand with summer parties, in my opinion. There’s not one summer party we have had or have gone to where the kids are not playing in the dirt or making a mess. And since it costs 30% less than the leading brand. that leaves a couple of extra dollars for myself, which means a new pretty pair of earrings for me to wear to our next summer gathering.

Add foam and arrange your flowers. **I cut the stems pretty short making them easier to poke into foam and give the arrangement a more full look.

Stylish Ways To Wear a Swimsuit

Mint One Piece | Retro Two Piece |  Scalloped Trim Bandeau

I’m looking for the perfect swimsuit to get me through this summer. I had no idea I’d still be dealing with the c-section complications (you can read about it here & here)! The swimsuit I have is just not going to work because its cutting right into the area and it’s still pretty uncomfortable. I decided that this year, I’m going to buy a one piece, and find stylish ways to wear a swimsuit and cover up. I know I’m not the only that goes through this every summer so I put together some favorites in case you’re looking for a swimsuit too.
