Whether you want a keto-friendly appetizer or a savory and filling lunch, this keto bacon wrapped shrimp is perfect! It’s easy and hits the spot each time.
Baked Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Do you have kids? You might want to make a few extras if you do! Our kids love these bacon-wrapped shrimp about as much as we do. Who can blame them? Crispy, salty, bacon wrapped around juicy shrimp. What is better?
To make it easier, I suggest cutting the bacon in half or thirds. You only want the bacon to wrap around a few times. If it is wrapped around on top of itself, the bacon won’t cook as well.
Another thing that makes this shrimp so popular is the melted maple butter drizzle. Just typing it out makes my mouth water. I used a maple syrup substitute in order to keep it keto-friendly. You don’t notice the difference!
Bacon-Wrapped Food Ideas
Honestly, just about anything is better when you wrap it in bacon! One of my all-time favorite ways to eat asparagus is to make my low-carb cheesy bacon asparagus. It’s way too easy to eat them up.
I also really like keto bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts. They come out hot and steamy and delicious. In fact, my recipe is super-easy because it’s an air fryer recipe.
How To Make Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
There are two ways to make it – in the oven and in the air fryer. All of the details for how to make it in the oven are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Follow the same steps to make it in the air fryer. Air fry the wrapped shrimp at 400F for about 25 minutes. After about 12 minutes, turn the shrimp over and let it keep cooking.
Easy Shrimp Appetizer
This bacon-wrapped shrimp is super popular at parties! No one even cares that it is low in carbs, they just flip over the shrimp and bacon combo. I like to serve them as an appetizer with keto pizza roll ups.
Want another shrimp appetizer idea? Try my grilled shrimp chimichurri. They are grilled on skewers and look tantalizing as you set them on the table.
You can also let it cool and then place it on top of your favorite salad. It’s the perfect protein for your midday lunch.
Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Dip Ideas
I like to eat them just like they are, but if you are wondering what to dip bacon wrapped shrimp in, I have a few ideas.
You can always just buy some sugar-free cocktail sauce. That’s the easier answer. If you want to make your own, then whip up this jalapeno cilantro dipping sauce. It is zesty and spicy and tastes amazing on top of shrimp.
Easy Shrimp Snacks
Shrimp is the perfect size to eat as a fun snack or appetizer. If you want to use it for a dinner, make my keto shrimp scampi. It’s buttery and filling – without all the carbs!
In fact, that scampi with some garlic butter cauliflower rice is an entire meal – and it comes together in minutes.
