This low-carb chicken alfredo has broccoli is super cheesy and incredibly comforting. It’s the best way to indulge without noodles.
Easy Low-Carb Chicken Alfredo
This is a quick and easy dinner idea that the entire family will enjoy! I’m so excited to share this recipe with you. There are lots of ways that you can change it, and I’ll be sharing those details with you.
The best thing about this recipe is that it is as easy to make as jarred alfredo, but tastes so much better! If you enjoy cheesy chicken and broccoli recipes, then keep reading – you will really enjoy this one too!
Keto Alfredo Sauce
To make the alfredo sauce, you should use full-fat dairy ingredients. It will enhance the depth and richness, so don’t skimp. Use real butter, heavy whipping cream, cream cheese, and both mozzarella and parmesan cheese. For even better tastes, use fresh mozzarella cheese and shred the parmesan cheese at home.
You’ll notice the difference.
I flavored it with oregano, garlic, and onion powder. If you want it to have a bit of heat, then add some red pepper flakes. For a little sweeter flavor, garnish with some fresh parsley. Even though I didn’t use any type of noodles, you certainly can.
Serve it with zoodles, spaghetti squash, or palmini noodles. You can also change the veggies too! Swap the broccoli for mushroom and spinach – or use all three.
Is Alfredo Sauce Keto
Yes, most jarred alfredo sauce is keto-friendly. They usually have about 3g net carbs in 1/4 cup. The only downside to jarred sauce is that it comes with a lot of preservatives and added ingredients. If you can use fresh cheese you will taste the difference. A little bit will fill you up.
How To Store Alfredo Sauce
I’ll be honest, fresh alfredo sauce tends to firm up in the refrigerator. Anything that you make with cream cheese will solidify if you keep it chilled. This is ok. As soon as you heat it up, it will melt together again and taste like new.
Store the alfredo sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for up to 5 days.
Best Meat In Alfredo
I used chicken breasts in the alfredo. It just fits perfectly! You can also use chicken thighs or save yourself lots of time and just shred some rotisserie chicken.
Try this with some cooked shrimp too. I don’t think pork or beef would taste as delicious with it. But if you use thinly-sliced ham, it will taste like a carbonara.
For a little extra flair, top with some chopped bacon too.
Chicken Alfredo Without Noodles
You won’t even miss the noodles when you eat this dish. It’s super-rich and creamy. Serve it with some keto garlic toast and some roasted vegetables. Or add some bacon wrapped asparagus on the side too. Your entire family is going to enjoy this dinner idea.
