Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp Extra Large, Deveined, Tail-On
  • 12 ounces Bacon Sugar-Free
  • 4 tbsp Maple Syrup Substitute
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder

Instructions

  1. Depending on the length of bacon, slice each strip in half or thirds.

  2. Wrap bacon around each shrimp, using a toothpick to keep the bacon in place.

  3. Place the shrimp on a large baking sheet. (I used a wire rack over a baking sheet).

  4. In a small bowl, stir together all the dry seasonings.

  5. In a separate bowl, melt butter with maple syrup substitute.

  6. Drizzle melted maple butter over each shrimp, then top with desired amount of the dry seasoning mix. (Reserve a little of the maple butter, for after cooking).

  7. Bake at 400 degrees F for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until bacon looks crispy.

  8. Remove and top with remaining maple butter.

  9. Garnish with fresh lemon juice and parsley, if desired.
