Ingredients

  • 2 large Chicken Breasts cut in half lengthwise
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1 large Onion sliced
  • 2 tsp Garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Herbes de Provence
  • 1 cup Gruyere Cheese shredded

Garnish

  • Parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Add the butter and onions to a skillet and saute over medium heat until softened and caramelized. This usually takes about 15 minutes.

  3. Stir in the beef broth, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Saute until most of the liquid is absorbed.

  4. Season the chicken breast pieces with salt, pepper and the herbs de provence. Place the chicken in a 9x13 casserole dish.

  5. Top the chicken with the caramelized onion mixture, and sprinkle with the gruyere cheese.

  6. Bake for 20 minutes.

  7. Remove and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
