Creamy, zesty, and cheesy, a bowl of this keto French onion soup is the height of luxury. Made with low-carb croutons and mozzarella cheese.
Place two tablespoons of butter into a pot over medium heat on thestove.
Add the onions to the pot, and saute in the butter, stirring often until softened.
Once softened, reduce the heat to medium low, and saute until the onions are browned and caramelized. This takes about 25 minutes.
While the onions are cooking, prepare the 90 second bread in square containers. Cut each slice in half to form a total of 4 slices of bread.
Place the bread on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Melt the remaining butter, and brush over the bread.
Sprinkle the bread with the garlic powder.
Place the bread under the broiler until toasted, and then cut into cubes.
Once the onions are done, add in the garlic and thyme, and saute for 30 seconds.
Pour in the white cooking wine to deglaze the pot.
Stir in the beef broth and salt and pepper to taste.
