Ingredients

Pepper Steak

  • 1 pound Top Sirloin cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil divided
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper sliced
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper sliced
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic

Pepper Steak Sauce

  • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Swerve Brown Sugar Substitute
  • 1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat on the stove.
  • Add the steak to the skillet with the oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Saute the steak until browned and cooked to your liking. Set aside.
  • Add the other tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet, and reduce the heat to medium.
  • Place the sliced peppers into the skillet and saute until becoming tender. Remove and set aside.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger paste to the skillet and saute for 30 seconds.
  • Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar substitute and xanthan gum in a bowl.
  • Add the steak and peppers back into the skillet, and toss to combine.
  • Pour the soy sauce mixture over the meat and peppers in the skillet, and saute for several more minutes, stirring to coat well.
