1 1/2poundsAsparagus with the woody ends removed
2tbspButter
1/2Onion chopped
1cupHeavy Whipping Cream
1 1/2cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/3cupParmesan Cheese grated
Bacon Pieces for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Stir in the onions, and saute until they have softened.
Pour in the heavy whipping cream, and simmer until thickened.
Mix in the parmesan cheese and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and stir until the cheese has melted.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Layer the asparagus in a well greased 0x13 baking dish.
Pour the cheese sauce over the asparagus, and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake for 12-14 minutes.
Serve garnished with bacon pieces.
