Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds Asparagus with the woody ends removed
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 1/2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • Bacon Pieces for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Stir in the onions, and saute until they have softened.
  • Pour in the heavy whipping cream, and simmer until thickened.
  • Mix in the parmesan cheese and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and stir until the cheese has melted.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Layer the asparagus in a well greased 0x13 baking dish.
  • Pour the cheese sauce over the asparagus, and top with the remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes.
  • Serve garnished with bacon pieces.
