Ingredients

  • 1 head Cabbage cut into wedges
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Thyme
  • 1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 4 ounces Shredded Gouda Cheese
  • Bacon Pieces For Garnish
  • Parmesan Cheese shredded, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Drizzle the cabbage with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the cabbage to a well greased 9x13 baking dish.
  • Bake for 40 minutes.
  • While the cabbage is roasting, add the butter to a skillet over medium heat, and saute the onions until softened.
  • Stir in the garlic, and saute for 30 seconds.
  • Pour in the heavy whipping cream, Italian seasoning, fresh thyme and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the sauce thickens. Remove, and set aside.
  • Pour the sauce over the roasted cabbage, and bake another 30 minutes.
  • Remove, top with the cheese, and broil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with bacon pieces, parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
