Ingredients

  • 1 pound Shrimp peeled and deveined with tails off
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning Divided
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1/2 cup Celery chopped
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/3 cup Chicken Broth

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
  • Sprinkle all but 1 tsp of the cajun seasoning over the shrimp, and toss to coat well.
  • Cook the shrimp in the heated oil until seared well and cooked through. Remove, and set aside.
  • Add the butter to the skillet, and reduce the heat to medium.
  • Stir in the onions, peppers and celery. Saute until the vegetables have softened.
  • Mix in the garlic, and saute 30 seconds longer.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy whipping cream.
  • Add the cajun seasoning, and stir to combine.
  • Simmer until the sauce has thickened.
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet, and toss to coat well in the sauce before serving.
