Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Carrots peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups Cabbage chopped
  • 3 cups Spinach
  • 1/2 cup Celery chopped
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 14 ounces Kielbasa Sausage sliced
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 5 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 tsp Dried basil

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat.
  • Add the onions, carrots, celery and cabbage to the pot, and saute until the vegetables have softened.
  • Mix in the garlic, paprika, basil and salt and pepper to taste. Saute another 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the sausage.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, and simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes.
  • Mix in the spinach, and simmer until wilted.
  • Serve garnished with red pepper flakes if desired.
