Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium high heat, and cook until completely browned. Drain the extra grease.
Reduce the heat to low, and add in the marinara sauce. Stir to combine, and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together the cottage cheese, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, egg and salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Add a layer of the meat sauce to the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
Spread a layer of turkey slices over the meat.
Place a layer of mozzarella slices over the turkey.
Smooth the cottage cheese mixture over the mozzarella.
Add another layer of turkey slices.
Pour the rest of the sauce mixture into the baking dish.
Top with a final layer of mozzarella cheese slices.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Garnish with shredded parmesan, and allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
