Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 2 cups Low-Carb Marinara Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 pound Sliced Deli Turkey Meat
  • 16 slices Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Cottage Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  • Add the ground beef to a skillet over medium high heat, and cook until completely browned. Drain the extra grease.
  • Reduce the heat to low, and add in the marinara sauce. Stir to combine, and set aside.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the cottage cheese, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, egg and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Add a layer of the meat sauce to the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Spread a layer of turkey slices over the meat.
  • Place a layer of mozzarella slices over the turkey.
  • Smooth the cottage cheese mixture over the mozzarella.
  • Add another layer of turkey slices.
  • Pour the rest of the sauce mixture into the baking dish.
  • Top with a final layer of mozzarella cheese slices.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with shredded parmesan, and allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving.
