1pound Natural ground Italian sausage
2cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3cupRicotta Cheese
1/4Onion chopped
2ounces Cream Cheese softened
3tbspParmesan Cheesegrated
Instructions
Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
Add the ground sausage and onions to a skillet over medium high heat. Saute until the meat is browned and onions have softened. Drain the excess grease.
Remove from the heat, and stir in the cream cheese until melted.
Mix in the ricotta and parmesan cheese, and set aside to cool.
Form the mozzarella cheese into 8 evenly sized circles on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 6-8 minutes, or until the edges are beginning to brown and turn crispy.
Remove the cheese from the oven, and let cool for a minute.
Place a layer of the filling down the center of each cheese circle.
Carefully fold the cheese circles up and over the filling.
Allow the rollups to cool and crisp up before serving.
