1poundBoneless skinless chicken breastscut into bite-sized pieces
12ouncesNatural Smoked Sausage sliced
2tbspOlive Oil
1tspGarlic Powder
1tspOnion Powder
Salt and Pepper to taste
4tbspButter
1/2Onion chopped
1/2Red Bell Pepper chopped
1mediumCarrot peeled and sliced
3cupsCabbage chopped
1tspDried Thyme
3tspMinced Garlic
1/4cupSugar-Free Honey
2tbspChicken Broth
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
Season the chicken with onion powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.
Sear the chicken in the skillet until cooked completely through.
Add in the sliced sausage, and saute for another 2 minutes. Remove the meat and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium, and melt the butter in the skillet.
Saute the onion, carrots and red bell peppers until softened.
Mix in the garlic and thyme, and saute for 30 seconds.
Stir in the cabbage and chicken broth. Cover, and saute the cabbage until softened.
Add the meat back to the skillet and stir to combine.
Drizzle the contents with the skillet with the honey, stir and simmer for 2 more minutes before serving.
