This protein-packed dinner is a meal perfect for a family or a week’s meal prep. Keto honey garlic chicken skillet is made with sausage, too.

Honey Garlic Chicken Skillet
I absolutely love the combination of honey and garlic. That bold flavor of garlic is cut by the sticky-sweet honey and with sugar-free honey, you don’t have to worry about the carbs or sugar spike.

This is a savory, herbaceous, flavorful dish. The chicken breasts soak up all the flavors.
They also turn out perfectly juicy, even without marinating! If you prep the veggies ahead of time, this dinner comes together really quickly!
It’s ready in about 30 minutes.
Keto Honey Garlic Chicken
I’ve made honey garlic chicken thighs before and fell in love with them! Last time, I made them with green beans.

This time, I wanted to change up the textures, so I used peppers, cabbage, and carrots. These veggies soak up the flavors from the garlic and onion and will become perfectly crispy from the sugar-free honey.
The result is a meal that you’ll savor with every bite. I used chicken breasts, and they stayed nice and juicy, even after being fried in a skillet on the stove.
If you want, you could make this recipe with chicken thighs or chicken breast tenders.
Sausage Chicken Skillet
What is the best type of sausage to cook with chicken breast pieces? Honestly, any type of smoked sausage will work in this skillet recipe.

I used a mild smoked sausage. Kielbasa will taste delicious and if you want it to have some heat, grab some hot and spicy sauce to add to the meal.
Remember to make sure the chicken is fully cooked! To do this, use an instant read food thermometer.
The chicken needs to cook until it reaches and internal temperature of 165F.
What To Eat With Chicken
The chicken and sausage is seasoned with garlic, onions, (sugar-free) honey, and Italian seasonings. Remember, there are 7 grams net carbs in each serving.

So, I suggest serving sides that are very low in carbs and have similar Italian flavors.
Add something sweet, like basil marinated berries and cottage cheese or keto eggnog custard. If you want a salad on the side, make either keto southwest salad or some keto Caesar broccoli salad.
Then, serve some keto cottage cheese edible cookie dough for dessert. It’s the perfect thing to finish off a delicious dinner.
Chicken Meal Prep
This is the perfect meal to make for your meal prep. Both the chicken and sausage will taste delicious when you reheat them.

Store leftover honey garlic chicken and sausage in an airtight container. Keep it in the refrigerator for up to three days.
You can freeze it, too. Store the leftovers in a freezer-safe food storage bag. Keep it in the freezer for up to six months.
