There was a time where I woke up every morning and had a bagel and a glass of orange juice. Now my typical Keto breakfast consists of a few hard-boiled eggs. To switch things up I decided to make homemade Keto Everything Bagels!
Keto Everything Bagels
You’d think I would have made these a long time ago but the truth is I was skeptical and didn’t think they’d taste good. Boy was I wrong! They’re also surprisingly easy to make too!
Keto bagels are a delicious way to get your carb fix! Have them for breakfast with cream cheese, use them to make sandwiches or toast them and top with slices of avocados and eggs!
The Keto diet can at times be a bit difficult to stick to. Having delicious low carb alternatives like Keto bagels are a great way to help keep you on track.
How To Make Keto Everything Bagels
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 10
Ingredients:
3 c. Shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp Cream cheese
1 ¾ c Almond flour
3 tbsp Psyllium husk powder
1 tbsp Baking powder
Three Eggs divided
1 tsp Garlic powder
Everything but the Bagel seasoning
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
2. Place the mozzarella and cream cheese into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir completely, and then microwave at 30 second intervals until the cheese is completely melted and combined.
3. Add the cheese mixture to a mixing bowl, and add in the almond flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, 2 eggs and the garlic powder. You can also add in a pinch of salt at this point if you like.
4. Mix the ingredients well with a bread hook attachment if you have one. If not, a regular mixing attachment will work.
5. Divide the dough into 10 equal sections, and roll each one into a thick log about 6 inches long. Form each dough log into a circle with a hole in the center (the shape of a bagel.)
6. Place the dough bagel shapes onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
7. Whisk the last egg in a small bowl, and brush it onto the top of each bagel as an egg wash.
8. Top each bagel with the Everything by the Bagel seasoning.
9. Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
