Being a work at home mom of seven means that from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed I am on the go with a cup of coffee in hand. I’m either working on my site while Lauren is crawling around the playroom, potty training Olivia or dropping one of my other boys off at friends house or after school activity. My day needs to be planned but flexible, and I have to be prepared for tantrums, spills, and diaper changes that will inevitably happen as soon as I walk out the door. This usually means that my diaper bag is filled to the brim with must-have items like bottles, pacifiers, an extra set of clothing and even the kids favorite tunes on my phone for fussy car rides. Below are a few of my must-have items for the busy mom on the go that are always on hand and help make my days go smoother.

Click Links: I carry around a few toys to keep Lauren and Olivia entertained in the car and in the stroller, but they rarely stay in their for more than 5 minutes. They totally get a kick out of throwing everything on the ground and because I’ve got a lot going on I like to make sure they stay put and more importantly clean. I use that can also be used as a teething ring.
Bibs: Lauren is teething which means she’s also drooling a lot so I have to have a few bibs handy to keep her shirts dry – her skin always breaks out if drool has soaked her shirt for too long. These bibs are gentle and won’t irritate her skin.
Portable Diaper Changing Pad: This is obviously an important necessity when you have more than one in diapers. This portable diaper changing pad keeps everything neatly in one spot.
Drinks: Instead of trying to keep a bottle cold and fresh, I use these insulated sippy cups and bottles. A little pricier but so worth when you’re on the go!
One Piece Jumpsuit: I always carry around one or two jumpsuits for Olivia and Lauren in case I need to change their clothes. They’re so much easier than having to try to put on several pieces of clothing on a wiggly baby…and they’re comfy!
Back Up Phone Charger: I’m pretty good about keeping my phone charged but there’s always those days where I used it so much that I need a back up. A back up charger gives me peace of mind knowing that I can keep in touch with my older kids, check my emails and take pictures of Joseph.
Easy On & Off Cozy Booties: These Zutano booties are not only adorable but they’re they’re super easy to put on and keeps Olivia and Lauren feet cozy!
Baby Carrier: Frees up your hands and babies love it! I wasn’t a big believer in baby wearing until I had Lauren and it’s made a huge difference.
Music: My little ones love music (they’re loving and sometimes it’s the only thing that will help soothe them when they’re over tired. I keep a few of their favorite songs on my phone and play them during traffic or when they’re fussy. Right now their loving Disney Junior Baby Nursery Rhymes and you can easily watch them on your phone via the Disney Junior app.
