This low carb Chinese food recipe always comes in handy when you’re looking for a quick takeout alternative. If I want to get a little crazy and spice it up even further, I’ll drizzle with hot sauce or add in peppers! You can even swap out the beef for chicken, shrimp or mushrooms!

Is Beef and Broccoli Keto Friendly?
You read that right! This Keto beef and broccoli recipe is very much Keto-friendly! Typical beef and broccoli recipes have sugar and even cornstarch. In this low carb version, I use a low carb sweetener and xanthan gum in place of the cornstarch.
What to serve with this keto beef and broccoli recipe?
This recipe, much like many of my others, is perfect for meal prepping! Simply cook your beef and broccoli, allow to cool and store in a plastic container for 3-4 days!
What To Serve With Beef and Broccoli?
This keto beef and broccoli recipe is definitely hearty enough to eat on its own but you can also choose to serve with cauliflower rice or zoodles!
Ingredients:
1 1/4 flank steak
1/8 tsp of salt and pepper
1/2 tsp sesame oil
3 1/2 cups of broccoli
1 tbsp of avocado oil
1 tsp of Xanthan gum
Sauce:
2 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 cup of coconut aminos or soy sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1 1/2 tsp of monk fruit sweetener
1 tsp sesame oil
Optional:
Green onions for garnish
For a spicy kick top with red pepper flakes and or sprinkle sesame seeds for garnish.
Instructions:
In a small bowl add all the ingredients for the sauce. Set aside.
Microwave broccoli with 1/4 cup of water for 3 minutes. Set aside.
Season beef with salt and pepper and 1/2 of sesame oil.
In a large skillet on high heat, add 1 tbsp of avocado oil. Add steak and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add broccoli back to the pan.
Pour sauce and xanthan gum over beef and broccoli. Stir to combine beef and broccoli with sauce and simmer until it thickens.
Top with green onions.
