This keto pork and cabbage skillet looks and tastes like a chef-prepared meal. The pork is cooked perfectly – not too dry and just juicy enough to be delicious. It’s all smothered in a creamy, savory bacon sauce.

Topping pork chops with bacon is pretty tasty! If you normally aren’t a fan of how cabbage tastes, this is the perfect recipe for you. You can’t taste the cabbage after covering it in the parmesan cheese and bacon sauce. 

Bacon Sauce For Pork Chops 

Dry pork chops are an all-too-common complaint. There are two ways to prevent pork chops from becoming too dry when you cook them. You can either marinate the pork chops or cook them in a thick sauce.

I don’t know about you, but I forget to marinate my pork chops the day before. Then, dinner time rolls around and it’s time to cook and I don’t have marinated pork chops. 

That’s why I love cooking pork chops in cream sauce. It keeps them juicy and you don’t have to remember to marinate them. It’s so easy! 

Creamy Pork Chops 

You can use either boneless or bone-in pork chops. With kids, it’s just easier to use boneless. No matter which type you cook, always check the internal temperature of the pork chops before you serve them. 

Keto Pork and Cabbage in Creamy Bacon Sauce

Pork should be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of 145F with a three minute rest. 

Thinner pork chops will cook quicker than thicker ones, so keep that in mind when you budget your time. 

Pork Chops and Cabbage Skillet 

You can use either green or red cabbage for this recipe. Keto dieters shouldn’t use cole slaw mix. It’s tempting since the cabbage is already chopped, but it also includes carrots, which will increase the carb count in the entire dish.

This pork and cabbage skillet is the perfect thing for your meal prep. Make a few extra pork chops with your dinner and save them in an airtight food storage container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. 

Sides For Pork Chops

Since this is such a creamy and rich recipe, you will want to serve something light on the side with it. Start out with your favorite chopped salad.

Make the copycat Olive Garden salad. It has lots of the same spices and flavors. If you’d like something sweeter, make the cucumber and strawberry salad. 

Then you just need to add another veggie to the side. Keto cauliflower au gratin is a perfect choice because it has lots of cheese and bacon – just like your pork chops.

Ingredients:

Boneless pork chops
Olive oil
Italian seasoning
Chopped cabbage
Butter
Onion chopped
Heavy whipping cream
Chicken broth
Minced garlic
Parmesan cheese grated
Crumbled bacon pieces

Instructions:

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste.

Sear the pork chops evenly on both sides in the skillet until cooked through. Remove and set aside.

Reduce the heat to medium, and add the cabbage to the same skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste, cover and saute until softened.

  • 2 1/2 cups Chopped Cabbage
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Onion chopped
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth
  • 2 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Bacon Pieces

Instructions
