I have a few different types of salad that I always love to change, and egg salad is one of them. It’s so easy to make few changes to the classic eggs and mayo combination. This one is almost too good if you can believe it!

There are so many things I love about this recipe. It’s a savory egg salad that has tons of flavor. It’s delightfully salty and the crispy bacon mixed in with the creamy eggs makes it fun to eat, too.

Honestly, I think it’s the dry ranch mix that makes this taste so incredible! I can’t get over all those flavors. Thankfully, ranch seasoning mix is keto-friendly! There is no gluten or other grains – just dried buttermilk and spices. If you don’t want to consume MSG, then you can even make your own seasoning. This recipe has the closest taste to the packets you buy at the store.

One Of The Best Quick Keto Side Dishes

Egg salad is a super-easy side dish and this one is no different. Here’s what I used in my bacon ranch egg salad – the entire recipe is in the printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Hard-boiled Eggs

  • Mayo
  • Dry Ranch Mix

After you make this egg salad, there are lots of ways that you can serve it and eat it.

My favorite way is also the easiest – I love just digging a fork into it and eating it right after I mix it up.

If you prefer to eat it like a sandwich, you can put it on a large piece of leaf lettuce and make a lettuce wrap. Or, you can also just spread some on a piece of keto-friendly bread.

Another way to change this up is to add chopped cauliflower to it. This will make it taste like a low-carb potato salad.

After looking at all the ingredients, you will see that this is one of the cheapest keto meals you can make. The entire meal costs less than $5 to make! This is faster and less expensive than eating out!

The most time-consuming part of this recipe is hard-boiling the eggs and frying the bacon. Save yourself time by hard-boiling an entire dozen eggs and frying some bacon at the start of the week.

Then, when you are ready for lunch, you just have to peel the eggs and mix everything up together. This becomes such a quick and easy lunch!

What To Serve With It

This is an entire meal all by itself. Serve with some grilled chicken and it’s a complete meal. You can also serve it with a keto grilled cheese for a lunch that will keep you full until dinner.

Hard boiled eggs
Bacon
Shredded cheddar cheese
Green onions
Mayonnaise
Dry ranch mix

Instructions:

Place chopped eggs in bowl.


Top eggs with crumbled bacon and cheese.

  • 6 eggs hard boiled
  • 6 pieces bacon
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped
  • 6 tbsp mayo
  • 2 tsp dry ranch mix

  • Place the chopped eggs in a bowl.
  • Top the eggs with the crumbled bacon and cheese.
  • Add the mayo and ranch seasoning to the bowl.
  • Stir until it is completely mixed.
  • Top with extra bacon and green onions.
