Rethink tuna salad – it’s not so boring anymore! Jalapeno tuna salad tastes just like jalapeno poppers, and has 1 gram net carbs in each serving.

Jalapeno Tuna Salad
Are you a fan of jalapeno poppers? I love them so much that I created a bunch of different recipes inspired by them. Keto jalapeno popper soup is creamy and comforting.

Jalapeno poppper chicken chaffles make it easy to eat on the go. In fact, I love this combination so much that I also made mini jalapeno poppers with tuna!
They are the perfect things to serve at a party or to eat for lunch (or a high-protein snack). And jalapeno popper taquitos are a crispy, crunchy recipe that my kids love too!
For this tuna salad recipe, I took the best things about jalapeno poppers – jalapenos and cheese – and combined them with high-protein tuna. The result is a salad that keeps you enjoying the keto diet!
Spicy Tuna Salad
When it comes to spice levels, jalapenos are actually pretty mild – especially if you remove the seeds. They add just enough heat to wake up your tastebuds, but not so much that you’re guzzling milk.

Do you want to make the tuna salad spicier? I suggest adding some hot sauce.
You can also add some chopped poblano peppers, too! They will enhance the heat from the jalapeno peppers and for a little extra kick, add pepper jack cheese.
Keto Tuna Salad
Did you know tuna is actually really good for you? Not only will canned tuna last a long time in your pantry, but it has a bunch of health benefits, too.

It’s a wonderful source of Omega-3 fatty acids. These are the healthy fats that boost your brain health.
The only downside of using canned tuna is that it tends to have a lot more sodium than fresh tuna. To minimize the amount of sodium, I suggest using canned tuna packed in water.
It has 70 mg sodium compared to 118 mg sodium in canned tuna packed in oil.
What To Eat With Tuna Salad
If you’re craving something spicy, then whip up some jalapeno tuna salad. It’s ready in a few minutes and you can eat it with a fork, serve it on top of a large piece of lettuce, or make some keto cloud bread and eat it like a sandwich.

If you want a light lunch, then eat this salad with a bowl of Low-carb shepherds pie soup. It will also taste perfect with some Keto scalloped zucchini.
For dessert, make keto pumpkin zucchini bread or Keto pumpkin spice scones. Pumpkin is perfect any time of year!
How To Store Tuna Salad
You can store this salad in the refrigerator, but I suggest eating it within a day or two. As it sits in the refrigerator, it will begin to separate, and it won’t look as appealing.

It only takes about 10 minutes to make, so it won’t save you much time to store it in the refrigerator. I also recommend keeping the green onions out of the salad until right before you eat it.
If they are stored with the tuna salad, they will soften and the texture isn’t as enjoyable.
