Make Amazing Keto Mushroom Recipes
The secret to this side dish is in this simplicity. Just saute the mushrooms and then add the lemon juice and herbs. You are going to smell how fresh and fragrant this recipe is!
The Best Type of Mushrooms To Use
For this recipe, I used cremini mushrooms. They are also sold as baby Bella mushrooms or baby portobello mushrooms. They have a darker color, firm texture, and a better flavor than younger white mushrooms.
You can use shiitake mushrooms or cut up some portobello mushrooms too. These cremini mushrooms are the perfect size and color for a beautiful side dish that is packed with flavor.
Health Benefits of Mushrooms
This is a really nutritious side dish. Mushrooms are a super-food, packed with vitamins and minerals.
All mushrooms have different amounts of nutrition of course. In general, they are high in protein and fiber. They are also a good source of B vitamins for energy.
They also have an antioxidant called selenium. Selenium helps to support the immune system and prevents damage to the cells and tissue (that comes naturally with aging).
If you don’t drink dairy milk, mushrooms are a fantastic way to consume vitamin D.

This is one of my favorite skillet mushroom recipes of all time. There is very little you need to do for meal prep. All you do to make this recipe is heat up the mushrooms, then add the herbs. It’s ready to go in like 5 minutes flat.

This also makes a beautiful and healthy holiday side dish. Heat up a large dish of these keto mushrooms and bring them to your big family meal. It’s so delicious and beautiful that everyone will eat them up!
How To Turn It Into A Low-Carb Dinner
All you need to do to make this side-dish a main-dish is add some protein. Here is one of my favorite ways to turn this recipe into a complete meal.
Just top with some bacon, spinach, and zucchini noodles. All of a sudden, you have a full meal in one skillet.
Toppings For Keto Garlic Butter Mushrooms
