Keto Honey Mustard
The secret to this amazing recipe is the honey mustard sauce. Yes, it’s low-carb! I used a sugar-free honey substitute to sweeten the mustard sauce. The result is a dinner that my entire family loved. They didn’t even know I was serving them a low-carb dinner.
You can use either yellow mustard, spicy brown mustard, or dijon mustard. I like how zesty dijon mustard is, so that’s what I used in this recipe.
Is Honey Mustard Keto?
No, the honey mustard that you might order at a restaurant is not keto-friendly. Most places will use real honey in their honey mustard sauce. I used a low-carb substitute for honey, so my recipe is completely keto-friendly.
Chicken Sheet Pan Dinner
This sheet pan dinner is so delicious that it is going to become one of your favorites. It tastes as delicious as my popular keto garlic parmesan pork chops. In fact, it has lots of the same flavors.
One thing I love about this dinner is how easy it is to clean up. When you cook a sheet pan dinner, line the pan with foil. Then, you just have to throw away the foil and your pan is clean! Magic!
Sheet Pan Honey Mustard Chicken With Green Beans
This sheet pan dinner is as easy to make as my garlic butter chicken and zucchini foil packets. If you thought cooking your food in foil packets was easy, try making it on a sheet pan. The most time-consuming part of this recipe is waiting for it to cook.
One tip that I always tell everyone is to use an instant-read meat thermometer when you cook chicken. The easiest way to tell if the chicken is fully cooked is to check the internal temperature. Chicken should be cooked until it reaches an internal temp of 165 degrees F.
Keto Chicken Dinner Ideas
If you want a light dinner, you could get away with just serving the chicken and green beans. I usually serve it with a chopped salad. It will also taste amazing with my popular keto garlic knots, some garlic cauliflower rice, or cauliflower mashed potatoes.
Any kind of keto substitute for potatoes is perfect with this recipe.
Chicken Green Bean Sheet Pan Dinner
There are lots of ways that you can customize this recipe to make it taste differently. Try adding some toppings. Add some crumbled bacon on top. Or, add some shredded pepper jack or parmesan cheese on top.
Instead of green beans, use asparagus. It cooks for about the same amount of time and is another low-carb vegetable.
How To Make A Sheet Pan Dinner
The secret to crispy chicken on a sheet pan is to sear it first. After it is seared, that is when you pour the honey mustard sauce on top of it (and the green beans).
I chose to cover the sheet pan with more foil. You could also make individual foil packets – that will achieve the same goal. You basically want to keep the chicken covered so that it will bake without burning the outside and drying it out.
Sheet Pan Meal Prep Chicken
This is the perfect meal to make for your meal prep. When you store the chicken and green beans in your meal prep containers, all you have to do is heat them up and you have a lunch or dinner ready later in the week.
If you store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator it will last up to 5 days.
