Enjoy a breakfast sandwich even on a low-carb diet! This keto sausage breakfast sandwich is made with almond flour biscuits. Save extra biscuits and eat them later with other foods – they are that good!
Homemade Sausage Breakfast Sandwich
I don’t know about you, but mornings are the craziest time for me. It’s really tough to try and eat a high-protein and low-carb breakfast. That’s why having a batch of these almond flour biscuits on hand is such a life-saver. Now I can just fry an egg and a sausage and I have a really filling breakfast.
Sure, you can easily buy frozen sandwiches but making and freezing homemade sandwiches is so much better for you! You can control exactly what is in it – and you know there aren’t any hidden carbs or preservatives in it.
Keto Breakfast Ideas With No Eggs
If you are getting tired of eating eggs for breakfast, then you will love this sandwich! It’s a buttery almond flour biscuit with a sausage patty. If you use spicy sausage, this sandwich will have even more flavor!
You can make your sausage patties all at once and keep them in the refrigerator, or buy some pre-made patties. Either way works! Just make sure you buy sausage that doesn’t have added sugar (so no maple sausage).
This sandwich is full of protein (thanks to the sausage and almond flour!). You can also use turkey sausage on it.

Everyone will love them, so have plenty of biscuits made so that you can share them with others in your house. They taste just like flour biscuits. If you have kiddos that aren’t on the keto diet, they can spread their favorite jam or jelly on the biscuits too.
Almond Flour Keto Breakfast Biscuits
These are great for busy mornings or even as a snack. These breakfast biscuits are really filling, so if you missed a meal, these will keep you feeling satisfied!
There are lots of ways to customize the sandwiches. Add any of these optional toppings:
- Sprinkle With Cheese
- Drizzle With Hot Sauce
- Dip in Sugar-Free Ketchup
- Add Bacon
How To Freeze Homemade Breakfast Sandwiches
Make a big batch of these sausage biscuits and then freeze them. Now you have breakfast ready whenever you are feeling really rushed and don’t have time to cook.
Here’s how to freeze them. First, cook them. Then, let them cool off to room temperature. Next, wrap each sandwich individually in plastic wrap. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and put the baking sheet in the freezer for about 4 hours (or overnight).
When they are frozen solid, you can place them all in a resealable freezer-safe bag. They will last about 6 months in the freezer.
