Who’s excited that the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron is finally out on DVD? Everyone in my house is! My boys have watched every single Marvel Avengers movie, but they’re particularly excited about this one which was released last week, because this year, Halloween falls on a Saturday, which means we get to celebrate it a little later! To start the Halloween festivities off, Robert is attending a school party on Friday, where he will be bringing in some of the ghost pencil toppers (instructions below) that he and I made last week. These little ghost toppers are so cute that I kept a few around the house as decoration for Saturday’s Marvel watch party!

The Avengers movies are all about the superheroes uniting and that’s exactly what we plan to do on Saturday. Robert will also be throwing on his MARVEL Thor costume we bought at Walmart for only $15 (isn’t that an awesome price!?) and then we will head out to trick or treat. Afterwards, we plan on finishing the night off with the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron DVD watch party (you can grab your very own Blu-Ray/DVD at Walmart). This, along with all the candy we collect, and, of course, some popcorn, it will definitely be a perfect Halloween MARVEL watch party.

Supplies for the ghost pencil toppers:

1/2 yard of white fabric
google eyes
black piping
orange ribbon
scissors
fabric glue
halloween pencils
How to:
Cut a piece of the fabric into a square. Don’t worry about it being perfect, the ghost looks better when they’re a little disheveled.

Cut a 6 inch piece of ribbon.**Any length longer and it will constantly be pulled off when in use. Put some fabric glue on to the tip of the pencil eraser and press the ribbon on to the spot of glue for 30 seconds.

Cut piping into 6 inch pieces.

Wrap a white fabric square around the eraser and tie the fabric with piping and fluff the bottom of the fabric.

Once you have everything in place you, can put your googly eyes on. Most googly eyes have an adhesive back but they kept falling off, so I used a little glue to help keep them in place.

These are adorable enough to even hand out in place of candy. You can also place in a decorative cup as a fun decor.

Be sure to check out all the fun MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron character costumes at Walmart! What are your Halloween dress up plans?
