I really don’t know how I survived before I started meal planning. I’d be paralyzed with the decision of what to cook and lots of times we just ended up getting take out because it was just easier. It honestly feels like a weight has been lifted off of me and now instead of constantly trying to think of what to cook we can actually enjoy dinner and even look forward it! Along with meatless dish nights, and a few low-carb meals we also have one pasta night, and this new spicy one pot sausage pasta recipe is a hit with everyone!
Spicy One Pot Sausage Pasta Recipe
With one pot recipes you not only cut down on cooking time, but you also reduce the amount of dishes you’ll have to wash afterwards, and sometimes that’s just as time consuming as cooking. This one pot pasta sausage not only packs a whole lot of flavor, it’s also super cheap and takes less than 30 minutes to make! Perfect to serve on it own, with a side salad or veggies!
Spicy One Pot Sausage Pasta Recipe
Ingredients:
Pound of spaghetti **we used spaghetti rigatti
2 packages of hot smoked sausages **Any smoked sausage will taste just as great!
4 cups of cherry tomatoes
5 cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese
Instructions:
In a large pot 4 1/2 cups of water and season with salt. Add spaghetti, sausage, onion, garlic, slice tomatoes in half and add 2 cups.
Bring to a rapi boil; reduce heat and let simmer (skip the lid) and cook until pasta is al Dante and liquid has significantly reduced (takes about 10-11 minutes).
Toss in remaining cherry tomatoes with pasta. Stir in parmesan cheese, top with fresh ground pepper (to your liking), toss and serve!
