Theres nothing better than having a nice glass of wine at the end of a busy day. It’s something I look forward to, especially on hot summer days. Normally I have a glass of my favorite pink moscato wine but during the warmer weather I look for ways to turn my beloved glass of wine into something a little more fun. One of my favorite ways is this refreshing watermelon wine spritzer. I love the fact that its not too sweet, its super easy to make and only cost me about $10. Watermelon Wine Spritzer
Ingredients:
1 small seedless watermelon, cut into cubes
1 bottle sweet white wine
1 liter cold seltzer water
Watermelon WIne Spritzer
Instructions:
To a blender, add the cubed watermelon, and puree until smooth.
Once smooth, strain the watermelon juice through a fine mesh strainer. This will help take out some of the watermelon pulp.
In a pitcher or punch bowl add 2 cups of the watermelon juice and 1 bottle of the pink moscato (sweet red wine works well too).
Fill a glass with ice and then fill about 1/2 way with the watermelon-wine mixture. Top with a splash of seltzer water to make the drink fizzy. Serve with watermelon slices.
