Keto Asian Green Beans
This skillet dinner idea comes together in a flash! Each serving only has 5g net carbs. All you have to do is add everything to the skillet, cook it, and then enjoy your meal. No worries about carbs or macros because this meal will keep you safely within your goals.
The flavors in this recipe are popping! The combination of soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar substitute, and chili garlic paste is unmistakable!
Serve this dish with some cauliflower fried rice and low-carb Asian slaw on the side. Now you have a feast that tastes just like takeout, but is faster, lower in carbs, and even tastier too!
Chicken and Green Beans Recipe
The chicken is completely optional. I added it because it turns a side dish into a complete meal without any extra time.
In fact, if you want to save yourself even more time, you can shred some rotisserie chicken and use that! Then all you have to do is heat it all up and dinner is ready.
This is one of those recipes that I use whenever I have leftover chicken. Buying and roasting a whole chicken can save you lots of money (and time later in the week).
Skillet Green Beans
I love my cast iron skillet and use it for so many recipes! I love that I can cook everything on the stove and then place it in the oven to crisp it all up or to keep it warm.
If you leave the chicken out of this recipe, it becomes a low-carb green bean recipe. It’s a wonderful way to serve green beans to kiddos that usually don’t like the taste of vegetables.
Low-Carb Green Bean Recipe
Green beans are one of my favorite low-carb vegetables. They aren’t as low in carbs as zucchini, but they are still a healthy choice on the keto diet.
For this recipe, I used fresh green beans and it turned out perfectly! I love how it has a slight crunch to it. If you want to save yourself time, try it with frozen green beans. Just be aware that they won’t be as crispy. It will still turn out delicious.
Asian Style Green Beans
There are a few different ways you can customize this recipe too. Instead of using chicken use thinly-sliced pork tenderloin. Or, add browned ground beef or sausage.
You can also make it taste spicier by adding some red pepper flakes.
This saves perfectly in the refrigerator for your meal prep. Just keep it in an airtight food storage container. It will stay fresh in the fridge for up to a week.
