This copycat Chick-Fil-A chicken salad is nearly identical to the popular chain’s recipe and has less than 1 gram net carb per serving!
Chick-Fil-A Keto Salad
With less than 1 gram net carbs in each serving, you have plenty of carbs left over to indulge in other sides or desserts. This chicken salad recipe is super filling too. Keep reading and I’ll share my favorite side dishes and the best-tasting foods that you can eat with this salad.
I recreated the chicken salad because this is a perfect way to eat healthy even on a budget. When you use canned chicken, the entire recipe costs less than the same meal at Chick-Fil-A. Saving money sure is a fantastic motivator to eating well.
Copycat Chick-Fil-A Chicken Salad
Did you know that there is added sugar in the Chick-Fil-A chicken salad? Maybe that’s why everyone loves it so much! In order to make my recipe keto-friendly, I used Swerve confectioner’s sugar substitute. It has the perfect texture for the dressing, and even makes it a tad thicker too.
I do not recommend trying to use a liquid or granular sweetener. It won’t give you the same result.
Dill Chicken Salad
If you don’t like crunch celery in your salad you can leave it out. Just know that if you do, you are leaving out important fiber, which keeps the overall net carbs lower.
One of the best things about this chicken salad is the relish! Add as much relish as you want. I only used one tablespoon in the entire dressing, but I think even two tablespoons would taste amazing.
What To Eat With Chicken Salad
Since the entire goal of eating cold chicken salad is to enjoy something refreshing, you can serve this chicken salad on a bed of lettuce or on top of a lettuce wrap. Serve it with some chopped fresh fruits and vegetables. Easy!
Or, add this chicken salad inside keto Hawaiian rolls and make some yummy sliders. This keto rosemary cloud bread would taste perfect on the side with this crunchy salad.
This keto Greek cucumber salad is bursting with zesty flavors – including dill. It tastes amazing with this chicken salad.
Can You Freeze Chicken Salad
Even though you can freeze chicken salad, I do not recommend it. When you freeze and then thaw chicken salad, the consistency changes and it just isn’t the same as freshly-made salad.
Since this salad is so easy to throw together, you don’t need to freeze it. Use canned chicken and you can make it whenever you want, without worrying about the chicken going bad.
