These keto eggnog cheesecake shooters are the perfect party desserts – each one only has 2 grams net carbs and they tastes like Christmas.
Is Eggnog Keto
Unless you make it homemade, eggnog is not keto-friendly. In the classic eggnog you buy from the store, there are 265 calories and 18 grams of added sugars.
That’s why I didn’t use storebought eggnog in these cheesecake shooters. It’s really easy to make your own eggnog. A combination of almond milk and heavy whipping cream with an egg yolk.
Just simmer all the eggnog ingredients together in a saucepan and it will taste so rich and delicious that you won’t even miss the store bought jug of eggnog.
Cheesecake Shooters
These little cheesecake shooters are the perfect things to serve at parties. When you serve them in 8 little glasses, your guests can grab their own desserts. You don’t have to sit there and serve them. It’s so easy!
You can also make them ahead of time. Keep them covered in the refrigerator for up to three days. Don’t garnish them with the cinnamon until right before you serve them.
Easy Eggnog Shooters
These eggnog cheesecake shooters are perfect for holiday parties. I didn’t spike them, so they are family-friendly desserts that everyone can enjoy.
If you want, you can spike the eggnog before you add it to the cheesecake mixture. Rum is the liquor of choice for spiking eggnog, but other people like to use bourbon or whiskey. For keto, I suggest using an unsweetened liquor.
You should also only add a shot or so. These cheesecake shooters have a lot of flavor that you don’t want to cover up with the taste of alcohol.
Keto Shooters
Use Swerve confectioner’s sugar substitute in both the eggnog and the cheesecake filling. The texture of this type of sweetener is light and fluffy. Granular sugar could work too, but liquid sweetener won’t enhance the texture enough.
These little keto shooters are a lot of fun to serve at parties. Garnish with cinnamon sticks. They don’t take much time at all before they are party-ready!
Keto Cheesecake Dessert
I’m a huge fan of the flavor of eggnog, especially in the winter and near Christmastime. Keto eggnog French toast is so tasty that I sometimes forget it’s low in carbs.
Keto eggnog fudge is one of the best homemade food gifts you can make – everyone loves it. Keto eggnog chaffles are super-simple and one of my favorite things to eat on winter mornings.
