The main ingredient in this recipe is large sliced salami. I love the flavor of salami. It is both smokey and naturally sweet with the perfect balance of salty and savory flavors. Sometimes I’ll eat a few slices of salami by themselves as a quick snack.
Not all types of salami are keto-friendly, but most salami is low in carbs. Just check the ingredients list before you use it. Only use sugar-free salami. If you don’t have salami, use pastrami instead. It won’t be as firm or hard, but it has lots of the same flavors.

This recipe is incredibly easy to customize. Add a pickle slice on top of the cream cheese before you roll it up. Pickles, cream cheese, and salami are a wonderful combination.

Fresh dill
Fresh chopped chives
Salt and pepper
Shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
Layer eight slices of salami in two straight lines of four next to each other.
In a bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients.
Spread half of the cream cheese mixture down one end of the layered salami lengthwise.
Carefully and tightly roll the salami up and around the filling.
Repeat steps 1-4 with the remaining salami and cream cheese mixture.
Place the two logs of filled salami slices into the fridge to chill for several hours, or until hardened a bit.
Slice the salami logs into one inch slices, and serve cut side down on a plate or platter.
