Keep reading and I’ll share how you can change this recipe, and I’ll answer as many questions as I can think of.
This recipe make 12 little bagel bites, but that can change if you cut them into bigger pieces. If you cut them into 12 pieces, there’s only 1 gram net carb in each bagel bite!
Cream Cheese Bagel Bites
There are a few different ways that you can change this recipe. I kept it really simple on purpose.
I love leaving room for you to add your personal spin on it. But if you’re struggling to think of ways to change it, here are some ideas to get you started.
Use avocado instead of cream cheese. This will make it dairy-free. Sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top to give it some heat.
Are you in the mood for something sweet? Instead of Everything Bagel seasoning, dice some strawberries and layer them on top of the cream cheese.
I made my bagel bites in the air fryer. But you can either bake them in the oven or fry them in a frying pan on the stove.
Tortilla Appetizers
To get the most out of your tortillas, I suggest using fajita-sized tortillas. But you can make the bagel bites out of taco-sized tortillas too.
You will just have to roll up a few more of them to use all of the cream cheese.
My favorite brand of keto-friendly tortillas are from Mission brand. They have a fantastic taste and texture that reminds me of flour tortillas, but they’re so high in fiber that they have almost no net carbs.
Keto Appetizers
Serve these little cream cheese bites with your favorite appetizers at your next party. They will taste perfect with some keto Japanese egg salad roll-ups.
For something with more flavor, make some keto sweet and sour meatball kababs. Or for something sweet, make either low-carb marinated berries or some cottage cheese ice cream.
How To Make Appetizers Ahead
These little cream cheese bites are the perfect appetizers to make ahead of time. Air fry them and then store them in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator.
Keep them refrigerated for up to three days. Then, pop them back in the air fryer for a few minutes and they are ready to serve!
You can freeze them, too. Store them in an airtight freezer-safe bag and keep them in the freezer for up to six months.
