Fire up your air fryer, my low-carb garlic parmesan chicken wings recipe is keto-friendly and ready in minutes!
I’m a snacker. Sometimes during the day, I’ll just get the munchies. I don’t want to eat an entire meal, but I do want something that will satisfy me and keep me full until the next meal.
Low-carb chicken wings are like the perfect keto-snack. They are a lean source of animal protein. If you flavor them correctly, they can fulfill that salty craving you get sometimes.
This low-carb garlic parmesan chicken wings recipe is super easy and really good for you too. Keep reading and I’ll tell you all about them!
Air Fryer Parmesan Wings
When I learned how to use my air fryer I think I found my new favorite kitchen appliance. It makes things perfectly crispy without any mess! I love crispy chicken wings.
I used to think the only ways to make really crispy wings was either in the oven – which took way too long – or on the stove – which was messy.
Turns out, coating the chicken wings with parmesan cheese makes them extra crispy in the air fryer. No mess and cooks in just 25 minutes. Awesome!
Low-Carb Chicken Wings
Since these chicken wings don’t have a breading on the outside, they are delightfully low-carb.
I added garlic to the parmesan cheese and they are mild enough for my kids to enjoy.
If you want, sprinkle some red pepper flakes in the coating. This will give your wings some amazing heat!
Keto-Friendly Appetizer Ideas
Chicken wings are one of my favorite keto-friendly appetizer ideas too. They are perfect for game day parties or when friends all come over to hang out.
When it comes to guests and parties, I struggle with what to cook that everyone will like (without me having to cave and eat too many carbs). These chicken wings are a crowd-pleaser! No one even knows they are keto.
What To Serve With My Low-Carb Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings Recipe
If you want to serve these wings as a complete meal, just add some veggies or a side salad with them.
I prefer the staple raw veggies that you’d get at other wing places (like Buffalo Wild Wings). I serve carrot sticks, celery, and even some raw broccoli on the side for a filling dinner.
How To Prep Ahead and Store
The air fryer cuts your cook time down. If you want to prep ahead and cut your cooking time down even more, here’s how to do it.
Honestly, the only steps in this recipe is to coat the chicken wings in the spices and oil and then cook them in the air fryer.
The only step that you can change to cut down on the cooking time is to thaw the frozen wings. This will save you about 5 minutes of cooking time.
If you have any leftovers, store them in a sealed container in the refrigerator. They will stay fresh for about 3 days.
