Is Kielbasa Keto
Whether you call it polish sausage, kielbasa, or Polska kielbasa, chances are you have seen them sitting in the grocery store, next to the deli meats, bacon, and sausage.
Is Polish sausage keto-friendly? To answer this question, you have to read the ingredients and nutrition labels. Not all brands of Polish sausage are keto-friendly. Some varieties – like ones from Hillshire Farms – even contain high fructose corn syrup.
Before you purchase sausage at the store, read the ingredients label. Only buy sausage that is made without any added sugar or corn syrup.
Sheet Pan Sausage and Veggies
For this sausage sheet pan and vegetables recipe, I used four different types of veggies. The more variety you add, the more interesting and fun the meal will be. Food shouldn’t be boring!
Eating keto can be delicious, you just have to use a variety of different ingredients.
Each serving has 6 grams net carbs. You can make that number lower by using fewer sausages and more vegetables. Just make sure you are eating enough protein (a very important thing for anyone on keto).
If you make any vegetable substitutes, keep track of how many macros they have. Carrots are higher in carbs and sugar than zucchini (for example).
Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner
You can make this recipe in the air fryer too! I like the oven because I just place them in there and they bake, without me having to do anything else.
If you want to make them in the air fryer, cook them at 400F for about 25 minutes. Remember to mix them up halfway through cooking so that the top pieces don’t burn.
For a little fun, don’t add the cauliflower to the sheet pan. Instead, make some keto loaded ranch roasted cauliflower. It will make your dinner a lot tastier and more filling.
Low-Carb Sheet Pan Dinner
Save this recipe, even if it’s just for the seasoning combination! Garlic, rosemary, oregano, and onion powder really enhance the Creole seasoning.
Make it even spicier! Sprinkle in some red pepper flakes and a dash of Cayenne pepper.
If you have fresh rosemary, use it. The fresh herbs have a more powerful aroma and will make the entire meal taste so much better.
Sheet Pan Meal Prep
Use this recipe to prepare for your lunches this week! It’s a wonderful meal prep recipe because all the vegetables and sausage will stay fresh and delicious for days.
Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
I love using sheet pan dinners as meal prep! Try it with sheet pan cheeseburgers or low-carb jalapeno popper sheet pan pizza.
