~ A Little Time For Me | #LATCHLETSME ~

Before I had Olivia, I was determined to breast feed for much longer than I had with Joseph. He was colicky and I just couldn’t keep with his feeding demands on top of everything else I had going on. I thought I’d feel guilty but because his crying would go on for hours it was actually a relief to stop. Olivia was a completely different situation. She was easy going from day one and immediately latched on. Even while I was hooked up to IV’s and an enormous amount of pain from all the c-section complications (read about it here), I managed to continue to breast feed and she continued to thrive and everything was going fine. But my c-section wasn’t healing properly and I was struggling with everything, including the breast feeding. I needed a little time for me!

Making the decision to supplement Olivia with formula was a hard one. Olivia wouldn’t take to a bottle and when she did she was spitting up constantly. I was devastated. I thought it would be a easy transition that would quickly make the guilt fade away but it didn’t work that way until I tried the new Munchkin LATCH line. Olivia took to the bottle immediately and I believe it had everything to do with the shape and flexibility of the bottle. It gave me that little time for me that I needed so badly.

I still nursed Olivia, but now I could let daddy feed her while I did my nails or slept for a little bit longer. I was still having a hard time recuperating from the C-section, but I began to feel a little bit more normal and even found a little time for me. Even the breast pads (a real must have for breast feeding mamas) help give me a little peace of mind when I left the house.

My daily routine is much different now and I do believe that the Munchin LATCH line played a big part in doing so! I had the bottles to help transition Olivia. The bottle brushes that clean unlike any other brush I’ve ever tried. And trust me, I’ve tried tons of them!

The Munchkin LATCH line even has a sterilizing microwavable bag that makes keeping bottles and pacifiers clean without much effort. I love that they’re roomy enough to fit an entire bottle and then some.

That is exactly what a busy mom of six like me needs. You have to give the Munckin LATCH Line (available at Babies R Us ) a try!

WOW a momma to 6?! Congrats! You definitely deserve some time to yourself. 🙂
Thank you!
I understand what you have to go through as I have gone through C-section & always needed little time for me. The Munchin LATCH sounds like a wonderful product which will be so helpful for new moms who need some help with the baby care.
I think Munchkin Latch is great brand or babies, I’m sure one of my friend would like this.
The Munchkin LATCH line sounds like a great product! I want to gift this to my sister who become mom recently! Thanks for sharing!!
This is such an interesting post. I know little to nothing about babies and baby things so it’s quite enlightening to read this post & just LEARN about things outside of my usual comfort zone! xx adaatude.com
The latch line sounds like a great option. My son had latching issues when he was a baby, and it was hard on both of us to nurse. It’s great that that particular bottle was an easy transition for your baby and was able to give you some “me” time and your husband some bonding time!
So glad you have found some time for you! It is important!
Those look like really great products – and then of course the cute baby 🙂
That is so great that you were able to find a bottle that she would easily adjust to and be able to eat from. I hope that it helped you to release the guilt and relax, too.
I don’t have any babies but this is a great baby shower gift! I love the bottle brush and that you can clean it in a microwaveable package! That is awesome!
