This is a sponsored conversation from Mums the Word Network and The Stork OTC. All opinions are my own.
Many don’t know this, but I was a teen mom. While it wasn’t easy, I did have a solid support system. I had Evan and William before I was twenty and they’re now two grown men living on their own. The decision to have more kids was a no brainer after I met my current husband. But there was one little problem; I had my tubes tied. Back when I had Robert, who’s now 12, I was 100% sure that I was done having kids. However, since I was so young, my doctor convinced me to just get the tubal clips in case I changed my mind and wanted to remove them. Scroll down to read all about the decision to have more kids & the Truth about my fertility.
Once I made the decision to have them removed (a very costly procedure), then came the scariest part of all. Would I be able to get pregnancy? The clips, although less invasive, still caused a little bit of scarring, and there was a chance that the reversal would not work. It was a HUGE, expensive risk, but we went for it! ~ The Decision To Have More Kids & The Truth About My Fertility
I had the reversal done and was told that if I wasn’t pregnant within six months to go back and be seen. I was determined and tried everything in my power to try and get pregnant. I lost weight, quit smoking, learned all about the ovulation basics and how important cervical mucus is to your fertility, and loaded up on vitamins.
Nothing was working and I was panicking because the reversal was my last option. I learned so much about ovulation and realized there’s actually only a small time frame where you can even get pregnant and that timing is crucial! **Ovulation typically occurs about two weeks after the first day you start your period but because I never actually tried to get pregnant before, I didn’t even know that. I wish I would have had a product like Stork OTC, a home conception device that uses a cervical cap insemination technique to help women and couples become pregnant (it sounds a lot more complicated than it really is). See below.
I finally did get pregnant by keeping track of ovulation dates and not only did I have two more babies, I had my very first baby girl, something that I dreamt of for years! It’s nice to know that now there’s products like Stork OTC that can be found at Target’s family planning section (next to ovulation test kits) available to help ease a little of the fertility anxiety you may have.
