~ Five Ways To Keep Your Car Fresh & Clean During The Holidays ~
Keeping a car of any size clean when you have kids is a full-time job, but I’ve managed after all these years to find little ways to keep it under control. It’s not like back in the day where I would zip around the NYC boroughs blasting some reggeaton and salsa on la mega with a spotless car. Below are my top five tips to keep your car in shape and give it a mini holiday makeover with a little help from Yankee Candle® car care products .
Before:
Hand held vacuum – Keep a small handle vacuum in your trunk and pick a designated vacuumer i.e.. Have a kid vacuum once a week.
Bag it – You know all those bags you’re left with after you go grocery shopping? Save them and stash them under the seat. Before you exit the car, fill one up with either garbage or all those toys your kids bring in the car.
Wipe it down – I keep wipes everywhere, especially in my car. If I’m sitting in line at the school, I grab one and wipe down the car. Maybe I’m weird, but I love wiping down the inside of my car.
After
Scent – Keep it smelling yummy and fresh with Yankee Candle® car care products like Smart Scent Vent Clips or Car Jar Ultimate. I cannot tell you how happy I was when I found out Walmart carried these. I’ve been a HUGE fan of Yankee Candle for years but like mi mama y papa I would always just buy the cheapie scented trees en la bodega because it was easier than driving out to the mall. Not anymore!
Holiday touch – Buy a clip-on ornament and clip it right next to your Yankee Candle® car care products (Midsummer’s Night is my favorite). It will give your car an instant holiday cheer without going overboard. You can grab the clips at Walmart for about $2.
With a little holiday decor.
Yankee Candle® car care products can easily be found in the car care aisle and in the air freshener section. You can get them for less than $5 and they last up to 30 days and trust me, Yankee Candle does not play around, this scent will last. I couldn’t help it and ended up buying a few of them because I couldn’t believe they carried my favorite scents Midsummer’s Night and Clean Cotton.
I plan on placing the Clean Cotton one in my laundry room. That’s the great thing about Yankee Candle® car care products , you can use them anywhere. These would actually even make a great stocking stuffer or gift.
So there you have it, my top five tips on keeping my car looking good and smelling fresh during the holidays. How do you keep your cars in shape?

I have the clean cotton vent clip and also the little jar that hangs down from the rear view mirror. They definitely keep my minivan smelling fresh, though I learned quickly that both aren’t needed at the same time. My husband loves the Clean Cotton scent, but I’m waiting for a vanilla scented car fragrance.

I have so much stuff in my car! It doesn’t stink but it needs to be cleaned out. And I love the idea of putting a vent clip in for the holidays.
