I now have a 18 year old and a 16 year old! How in the heck is that even possible? Today my William turns 16 and this one for some odd reason is just hard to swallow. I carried my chubby William on my hip all day every day for months because he wanted to be with me at all times.
He then turned into a very independent little boy who loved to make his own decisions. He decided the exact day he would use the potty and made it very clear that potty training him was a waste of time. And when I tried to get rid of his bottle and bobo (pacifier in Spanish) he negotiated and picked the exact day that he would do it and when the day came around he walked up to me and handed me his bottle and bobo and never looked back.
He did things on his own timing, he sucked his bobo, used a bottle and walked around in diaper way longer than the average kid and everyone would criticize me and I felt like I wasn’t doing my job. One day my sister in law told me “It’s not like he’s going to walk down the aisle in a diaper, with a bottle and bobo…ignore people… he will be fine.” That stuck in my head and made me feel a lot better. I decided that I would gently guide William at his pace and let him be and he turned out amazing!

1. William’s blue/green (he made me edit this) eyes.
2. The little mischievous side that he still has in him.
3. His physical and mental strength.
4. His style and the fact that he loves shoes just like me.
5. His one handed hugs.
6. He’s good at just about anything he does.
7. He’s a hard worker.
8. His cheeks that I used pinch a hundred times a day.
9. I love that he always says what he means and means what he says.
10. His smile.
Happy Birthday Willy Bear I Love you xo
