This post is in partnership with UnitedHealthcare. #UHCCFJokeBooks
If there’s one thing I love doing with my kids, it’s reading! Even after a really long hard day at work, I make sure to read at the very least three to four books just to see them smile and hear their adorable laughter. When I was asked If I’d like to help share UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation series of Joke Books I jumped at the opportunity because I think we can all use a good laugh nowadays. Kids across the United States have helped produce a series of joke books that will bring laughter and enjoyment to both kids and adults, and more importantly raise funds to help families pay for children’s medical expenses not covered, or not fully covered, by a commercial health insurance plan. That to me sounds like a win win! Scroll down to find out how you too can be joking around for a good cause!
The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) released three new joke books, just in time to celebrate National Literacy Month, an opportunity to encourage early reading. It is an essential skill to a child’s healthy development and I couldn’t agree more, not a day goes by where I don’t try and foster my little ones love of reading. The three fun to read books – Cool Jokes for Summer; Sweets, Treats & Eats; and Holidays, Celebrations & Birthday Jokes (click here to purchase them) – each include more than 300 hilarious jokes, including some that will bring back fond childhood memories for all. Best of all, the proceeds from the books fund child medical grants for families across the country.
Joking Around For A Good Cause
The Joke Books which make a great stocking stuffer for the upcoming holidays are ideal for children ages 4 to 12, but can be enjoyed by people of all ages too. I love that because as a mom and an avid reader, I’m always looking for books that I can actually enjoy along with my kids, making it an even better bonding experience for kids and parents.
Call it joking around for a good cause, or that sometimes laughter can be the best medicine either way, it’s an all around win for everyone involved! Scroll down to read some of the cheeky humor in the joke books.

How can anyone not smile after reading those?! They brought an instant smile to my face and to be honest, it’s kind of amazing how jokes are created and perfect to be passed around the family dinner table joke to share with one another, because all of the jokes are family friendly and are geared for children ages 4-12.
