Cheeseburger Foil Packet
When you want to make cheeseburgers without a grill and without all the grease on your stove, this is the no-mess solution! Wrap your burgers and veggies in a foil packet and let the air fryer do the work.
This is the easiest thing ever to clean up! Everyone loves them – even people not on keto. They can eat their burgers in a regular bun. But I didn’t miss the buns at all. The flavors and veggies taste so incredibly good that it feels like a feast!
Air Fryer Cheeseburger
The secret to really flavorful burgers and veggies is a packet of Onion Soup mix. Yes, this does add a few extra carbs. There are 6 grams net carbs in each foil packet.
If you want to cut back the carbs a bit, you can always make your own onion soup mix. Peace Love and Low Carb has one of my favorite recipes.
I used cheddar cheese, but you can use any type of cheese that you want! Try it with swiss and use lots of mushrooms to make a mushroom swiss burger packet!
Zucchini and yellow squash are low-carb veggies. They add nutrition, fiber, and color to the foil packets. If you want them to have a bit more spice, add some chopped jalapeno peppers to the mix.
Keto Air Fryer Burger
You can make these cheeseburgers with any type of ground meat that you like. I used ground beef, but ground chicken or ground turkey will work really well, too.
If you want to use them in your meal prep, I suggest storing the burgers separately from the veggies. The cheeseburgers will stay good for about three days in the refrigerator. You should eat the grilled veggies within a day or so.
Air Fryer Foil Packet
There are a ton of ways to cook a cheeseburger, but using the air fryer is my favorite way. It is easier to clean up and the burgers come out the perfect temperature, every single time!
You can also make them in the oven, but they might take a bit longer.
What To Eat With Burgers
Grab a fork and dig into them as soon as they come out of the air fryer! You don’t need any buns or rolls. If you want a hamburger bun, I suggest making some keto dinner rolls and cutting them in half.
You can also wrap the keto burgers in large pieces of lettuce, or serve these burgers on some homemade keto Hawaiian rolls.
As for sides, I like to serve cheesy burger foil packets with some keto greek cucumber salad, Keto guacamole deviled eggs, or some Keto fried pickles with cheese. Then, serve it all with a cold glass of sugar-free sweet tea!
