These keto air fryer chicken thighs come out perfectly crispy and are the perfect main course for any family dinner or meal prep.
Garlic Paprika Chicken
There is something absolutely delicious about the combination of garlic and paprika, especially on chicken! I love that combo of spices on pork too. The garlic is slightly nutty with earthy notes. The paprika brings a powerful kick!
This garlic paprika chicken is the perfect thing to make once and then use over again in your meal prep! Shred it and add it on top of your favorite chopped salad or use it in your favorite chicken soup. You can even use this chicken to make some low-carb chicken tacos.
Keto Air Fryer Chicken Thighs
I love to cook with my air fryer! It’s so easy to use that my teens can use it too. If you are a busy or beginner cook and don’t want to babysit a skillet, then I suggest using an air fryer.
When you use the air fryer, I suggest spraying the basket with non-stick spray first. These chicken thighs have a tendency to stick. Don’t forget to flip the chicken over halfway through the cooking time.
If you do, half of the chicken will be cooked more than the other side.
You should also check the internal temperature of the chicken before eating it. Chicken needs to be cooked until it reaches an internal temperature of at least 165F.
Best Spices For Chicken Thighs
Chicken is such a light and flavorful type of meat that almost any combination of spices will taste good on it. You can always stick with the tried and true salt, pepper, garlic, and onion.
Parsley, basil, and oregano also taste delicious on chicken. They are my favorite Italian spices and I love them with both chicken and ground beef.
If you want your chicken to have a bit more spice, then add some cayenne pepper! That will light them up.
What To Eat With Chicken Thighs
Since these chicken thighs are such a basic type of meat, almost any side dish you make will taste delicious with them. Garlic butter zucchini and yellow squash is a simple recipe that has a lot of the same flavors. I also love to serve sweet keto Hawaiin rolls on the side with them.
Slice the rolls in half and use them as a slider bun!If you want something completely different to eat on the side with your crispy air fryer chicken, then make some keto fried pickles with cheese. They taste just like the ones from fast food restaurants.
Or, keep it classic and serve a low-carb version of mashed potatoes. I love mashed cauliflower because it tastes just like potatoes!
How To Store Chicken Thighs
Keep raw chicken thighs in the refrigerator for up to a week after you bring them home from the grocery store. They will stay fresh in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Store cooked chicken thighs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
