When you are craving something salty and need protein, make this easy keto BLT chicken salad.
BLTs are a keto staple. All the ingredients are naturally low-carb and fuel your body all day long. I wondered if I could make a creamy chicken salad with BLT ingredients – turns out, it’s really delicious!
Keto BLT Chicken Salad
Bacon, lettuce, and tomato. They are the perfect pairing. I combined these classic ingredients in my favorite chicken salad recipe and the result was amazing.
Make it ahead of time without the lettuce. Just mix all of the ingredients except the lettuce and store it in an airtight container.
Then, when you need a quick lunch, grab this salad, put it on top of some lettuce, and you are ready to eat!
What Is In Keto BLT Salad
There are lots of ways to make a BLT salad that is low-carb and keto-friendly. Here’s what I used in mine, including any substitutions you can make.
- Chicken – save time and use shredded rotisserie or canned chicken.
- Bacon
- Arugula – any type of lettuce works in this salad
- Grape Tomatoes – cherry tomatoes work too.
- Mayo – instead of mayo you can use Greek yogurt
- Parsley – fresh parsley works the best, but you can use dried parsley in a pinch.
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder

Keto-Friendly Bacon
There are lots of discussions out there about how much bacon you should eat on the keto diet. It actually has both heart-healthy monounsaturated fats and the less healthy saturated fat.
Since it has both, I try to limit how much bacon I eat in a day. Keto is a low-carb high-fat diet, but I want to get my fats from sources like olive oil, avocados, and fish.
You also want to try and avoid the maple bacon. Anything with added sugar will hinder your success on keto diet.
Easy Low-Carb Lunch
I like digging into it as soon as I make it. I literally eat it with a fork, it’s that good!
You can also put some of it on some keto chaffle bread or keto bread and make a low-carb sandwich.
If you don’t have any keto bread on hand, just skip the arugula and use large pieces of butter lettuce and make lettuce wraps.
Low-Carb Summer Side Dish
Creamy salads make the best side dishes too. They are both refreshing and satisfying.
Serve this salad on the side with your favorite grilled meat or kabobs.
Turn It Into Tuna Salad
If you have a can of tuna, use that instead of chicken. This tastes amazing as a tuna salad too.
If you choose to make it a tuna salad, use mayo. It has a milder flavor and really brings out the taste of the tuna and the spices.
