Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these keto crab crakes rival anything you’ll find at a seafood restaurant!
Keto Seafood Recipe
Seafood is naturally low in carbs, it’s the breading and the frying that you have to watch out for. Crab cakes are one of my favorite seafood recipes of all time and this recipe is incredible. They literally melt in your mouth.
Whether you live near a beach or in a landlocked state, you can easily find these ingredients at your local grocery store. Keep reading and I’ll share my best keto crab cake tips, along with what to serve with them and how to add them to your meal prep for the week.
Keto Crab Cakes
Perhaps one of the best things about these crab cakes is that each one only has 1 gram net carbs. That means you can enjoy as many as your macros will allow! They are made with all low-carb and high-protein ingredients.
For the breading, you just need to crush up some pork rinds. Make sure you use unflavored pork rinds so that you keep the flavors mild.
What To Eat With Crab Cakes
These crab cakes are the perfect side dish to serve with any kind of seafood that you make. I like to serve them with my keto teriyaki salmon.
It’s the perfect blend of sweet and savory flavors. Or for something light and refreshing, make some keto lemon butter scallops. They are bite-sized morsels that are also low in carbs.
Do you like soup? Keto salmon stew is rich and thick and incredibly satisfying. Or to double the crunch, make some keto salmon patties with your crab cakes. These salmon patties also taste delicious in the Old Bay dip.
Keto Old Bay Sauce
Another one of my favorite things about this recipe is the dipping sauce. Since it’s so easy to make, I don’t mind the extra effort. Sometimes it’s easier to just buy the store bought versions, but I love this homemade Old Bay dipping sauce.
It only has four simple ingredients – sour cream, mayo, Old Bay, and Worcestershire Sauce.
This dipping sauce is zesty and creamy. If you want it to have a bit more heat, add a dash of Tabasco sauce to it. Old Bay is a fantastic sauce that tastes perfect on any seafood recipe that you make.
How Long Do Crab Cakes Last In The Fridge
These crab cakes are the perfect side dish or even main protein source for your weekly meal prep. I suggest eating them within three days. After three days, the crab cakes will begin to soften and won’t be nearly as crispy.
When you reheat them, I suggest using an air fryer, stovetop, or oven. If you reheat them in the microwave, they will become softer and won’t be as crispy.
