This low carb ground turkey stir fry is an affordable keto-friendly meal you can make for the entire family. Perfect for meal prep too!
Napa Cabbage And Ground Turkey Recipe
I love making copycat takeout recipes for my family. Not only does it save me money, but homemade food is so much healthier too. This stir fry tastes just like it came from a restaurant, but the cabbage and ground turkey are so much healthier than rice.
Turkey is really healthy for you. Did you know that it has less saturated fat than ground beef? It’s also usually a lot cheaper too. Those two reasons alone are enough to make me want to use ground turkey instead of ground beef.
What To Cook With Napa Cabbage
Napa cabbage is also called Chinese cabbage because it originated in China. Most people think of cabbage that looks like a round ball. Napa cabbage is more oval-shaped. It tastes a bit sweeter than green cabbage, so it is an excellent choice for keto dieters that miss sweeter dishes.
You can use Napa cabbage the same way that you would use green cabbage. Slice or shred it and use it in a cole slaw or as an egg roll in a bowl.
Or, make a stir fry with it, like in this recipe!
Healthy Keto Dinner For The Family
There are lots of ways that you can serve this low-carb stir fry as a meal that your family will love. Serve it on top of some zoodles, cauliflower rice, or use it as a stuffing in an avocado.
This is another meal prep favorite of mine. The cabbage and turkey reheat so well. It actually tastes better the next day because the stir fry sauce really seeps into the cabbage after it sits in the refrigerator.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Best Low-Carb Stir Fry Sauce
I love this stir fry sauce! In fact, I use it whenever I create a different type of stir fry recipe. Keep this recipe handy so that you can use the stir fry sauce in chicken and cauliflower rice stir-fries or even as a marinade for meat.
I used peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and ground ginger. If you want the sauce to have a bolder flavor, use fresh grated or diced ginger. This will really make your stir fry burst with flavors!
Turkey Stir Fry Recipe
Want it to have some spice? Add some slices of jalapenos. I like to add some sliced poblano peppers for a mild heat that my kids enjoy too.
I used ground turkey because it is cheaper than ground beef and has such a mild flavor that you can really taste the umami and zesty flavors of the stir fry sauce.
