They are the perfect balance of salty and sweet flavors. Plus, they are full of healthy fats and fiber, so they are good for your body while you’re on a low-carb diet.
Sprinkling the candied pecans on top of chicken salad is one of my favorite ways to eat them. This is a nutritious and filling lunch idea.

This budget-friendly low-carb recipe is made with ingredients that you can get for a pretty low cost. In fact, the berries and pecans are the most expensive ingredients in the recipe.
Low-Carb Chicken Salad
This is the perfect way to use up leftover roasted chicken that you have in the refrigerator. Or, grab a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, shred it up, and use it in the salad.
I used canned chicken because it lasts a long time on your shelf. Plus, you can get quite a few cans for a pretty low cost.
After you mix all the ingredients together, store the chicken salad in the refrigerator for up to three days. I like to store it in a mason jar for my meal prep.
Keto-Friendly Berries
I used two types of berries in this keto chicken salad recipe – strawberries and blueberries. These are the berries with the least amount of carbs.
Raspberries are also a low-carb berry. You can use the raspberries with the other berries, or swap them with the blueberries.
Even though they have natural sugar and carbs, berries are so good for you! This a a nutrient-dense salad that will make you feel so good!
What To Eat With Chicken Salad
This is the perfect salad to eat when you’re craving both sweet and salty flavors. Eat it with a fork, serve it on top of a large piece of lettuce, or make some keto cloud bread and eat it like a sandwich.
For a sweet side dish, make keto strawberry cucumber salad on the side. It’s a fantastic way to prepare garden-fresh strawberries. Then, pour yourself a jar of keto sweet tea. Lunch is served!
