Even though Joseph is only 10 months old (gosh time goes by fast,) he’s very aware of all the electronic devices around him. There are game systems, four laptops, a desktop, and iPhones! The list goes on and on and on. We’re very much the digital family. We laugh whenever Joseph tried to snatch a phone out of our hands but I keep telling the boys that it’s only a matter of time where he’s shoving his way in from of our laptops and computers, all of my boys were like this too. All four of my boys knew how to navigate a computer on their own by the time they were two and they even knew how to type in YouTube to watch their favorite music videos. I was always around to keep an eye on them but I keep my distance because I wanted them to explore.
The digital life is something me and the boys all have in common and while I get that it can bring people apart at times its definitely not the case with me and the boys it’s actually quite the opposite, it’s something we always sit down and chat about. This weekend I had some work to catch up on and Robert sat down next to me with my old laptop and Joseph tried to grab it so we gave him his little Fisher Price laptop. It keeps him busy for a good 20 minutes with the music and lights (click here to see a selection of Fisher Price laptops on Amazon). It’s so fun to see him learning to walk and watching his big brothers with big wide eyes. 🙂
