Today I’m 34 weeks pregnant and for some reason it’s starting to feel real. Maybe it’s because the crib is up and right next to my bed, maybe it’s because the mattress was finally delivered and placed in the crib or maybe it’s simply because I’m suddenly at a point where I’m uncomfortable 24/7 and there’s no escaping the feeling that I’m almost done. Either way I have about 6 weeks left to my March 17th due date (if I make it that long) and I’m exhausted from the constant trips to the hospital and the bed rest. Who knew that laying around doing nothing all day can be so tiring!
Now that I’ve got all the immediate necessities (more on that later) bought I can focus on a name for the baby (or the name of the week because it’s constantly changing). For a while me and my boys were dead set on Joseph James after Joseph Gordon Levitt and James Franco – our favorite actors. Then it was Masen James. For less than a minute it was Edward Rey (ewww lol). Last week it was Jacob Joseph, but that didn’t make the cut for 2 reasons: number 1 it sounded like the song I use to sing to my kids John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt (see below if you’re not familiar with the song) and 2 because of the characters Jacob and Joe Carroll in the TV show The Following. Love the show but I know that every time I would say Jacob or Joe (that would have been his nickname) I will always think of that show. No thank you I would rather name him Dexter – at least he had a code that he killed by. 🙂
